With over a decade of experience working with students from 30+ countries, Hands-On Institute has been at the forefront of creating immersive educational travel and grassroots engagement programs in Nepal. Our focus has always been on meaningful cross-cultural exchange and community empowerment.

To expand our impact and make internships more accessible and relevant, we launched Nepal Impact Volunteers (NiV), a new initiative designed to bridge academic learning with hands-on, ethical fieldwork. NiV offers affordable, culturally immersive, and socially responsible internships that benefit both students and the communities they engage with.

At the heart of NiV is our commitment to the principle of “Do No Harm.” We believe that internships should uplift, not disrupt. That’s why all our placements are community-informed, locally led, and built on the foundations of respect, sustainability, and mutual learning.
